Enthusiastic Masters graduate in Communications (African Languages - Xhosa). Over ten years’ experience in the language environment, covering: teaching basic isiXhosa, corporate communication, professional writing, verbal communication, translation, transcribing, terminology development, proof reading, screening, editing, Hansard and language policy drafting and implementation. Member of South African Translation Institute (SATI), and member of Western Cape Language Forum.
I have been working as a freelancer for a few translation agencies and sub-contracting to other Freelancers since 2006. Providing a translation and interpretation service to clients where needed. I’m Involved in converting documents and articles from one language (English) into another (Xhosa or Zulu) and ensuring that the finished converted articles relay the intended message as clearly as possible. I specialise in these two Indigenous South African languages, Xhosa, English and Zulu, Xhosa being my mother tongue and English and Zulu as my second languages. I am a professional translator, interpreter, proofreader, transcriber and editor. My target languages are Zulu and siSwati (South Africa) Siswati is spoken in Swaziland. I have done this job for many companies and organisations. I also teach Zulu to expats. I do my work professionally, satisfactory and deliver on time. I know how to coin words and use language that can understood by young and old. My source language is English. I love this work with all my heart and I am dedicated to preserve my langauges.
