Hello! My name is Arif Furqon. I am a fulltime translator specialising in IT, Technical, and Marketing fields. I am a very dedicated translator and very commited to translation business. What I believe a translation should look like - A translation shouldn’t look like a translation. I am a computer science student from Indonesia based in Berlin, Germany. I have been speaking English and German since I was four and 14 years old respectively. I have little to no experience, but I am eager to learn. I use English and German extensively in my daily life. I study at a state university, where the program is fully in German. My partner comes from Berlin, so we always communicate in German. I read and write mostly in English, and a lot of my friends here in Berlin don't speak any German, so I communicate with them in English. I also did a student exchange in Wales in 2013.
I get bored easily with day to day activity, so I seek for a new challenge for myself regularly. I love doing tasks that I have never done before which might challenge myself to strive or aim higher and to be better in life and work perspectives.
For most of my life, I have lived in various foreign countries. As such, speaking English is a must. I learned the English grammar and phonetics from a very young age, as I was educated in different American standard schools. Since I am a bilingual, I constantly have to translate from English to Indonesian, and vice-versa. I have been tasked with several non-professional jobs since the start of my university days.
I am bilingual. I have a good command of the English language and speak it very well. I also have a very good understanding of the Indonesian language. I have had experience translating letters, articles and stories from English to Indonesian and Indonesian to English.
